The complete guide to connecting Claiq and Khub
Claiq and Khub are separate products that work together seamlessly. Claiq is the AI link concierge and IQ page builder; Khub is the knowledge infrastructure. Each is billed on its own plan, except when you subscribe through Claiq Pro or Business, which include Khub at the matching tier. Connecting the two uses the same login and needs no API configuration.
Prerequisites
- An active Claiq plan that includes the IQ Guide / concierge features you need (see claiq.io/pricing). Khub alone does not include Claiq access.
- A Khub knowledge base with at least a few published items.
- The same email on both products. If you're on Claiq Pro or Business, Khub at the equivalent tier is included, no separate Khub subscription required.
Step 1: Sign in to Claiq
Go to your Claiq dashboard and sign in with the same email you use for Khub. If you signed up for Khub first and don't have a Claiq account yet, you can create one at claiq.app using the same email, the accounts will link automatically.
Step 2: Open the Khub panel
In the Claiq dashboard, click Khub in the left sidebar. You'll see the Khub-branded panel with the deep green header and your knowledge base sections. If this is your first visit, Khub will load your workspace's knowledge base automatically.
Step 3: Verify the connection
You should see your published knowledge items listed under their respective sections. The IQ Strength indicator in the header shows how much knowledge your AI has access to. A 'Growing' status means your KB has content and is actively being used.
There's no 'Connect' button to click. If you're signed in with the same account, the connection is automatic. Khub is a native part of the Claiq workspace.
How the integration works
Once connected, here's what happens when a visitor asks a question on your Claiq page:
- The visitor's question is sent to Claiq's IQ Guide.
- IQ Guide searches your Khub using hybrid search (keyword + semantic matching).
- The top results are re-ranked for relevance to the specific question.
- The most relevant knowledge items are used to generate an accurate, contextual response.
- The response is displayed to the visitor, including any relevant links or pricing from your KB.
Managing knowledge from within Claiq
You don't need to switch between apps. The Khub panel inside Claiq gives you full knowledge management capabilities:
- Add, edit, and delete knowledge items across all sections.
- Search and filter items by status (published, draft) or by text content.
- View the IQ Strength indicator to track knowledge coverage.
- Switch between domain sections (Overview, Brand Voice, Products, etc.).
Updating knowledge
Any changes you make to published items in Khub take effect immediately. There's no sync delay and no cache to clear. When you save a published item, Khub re-indexes the content (re-chunks, re-embeds) in the background. The next time IQ Guide processes a query, it will use the updated knowledge.
Connecting to GHL via Khub
If you also use GoHighLevel, you can export your Khub content for GHL's AI Knowledge Base via the Web Crawler integration. Go to Integrations, then GoHighLevel, then the KB Sync tab, select Web Crawler mode, and copy the export base URL. See the Website widget docs for the full setup guide.
The Khub to Claiq connection uses the same hybrid search that powers the REST API and MCP server. Results are consistent regardless of which access method is used.
